The "Sonic the Hedgehog" licensed motherboard from ASRock is significantly cheaper than the "Neon Genesis Evangelion" licensed motherboard from Asus.

No idea what this says about those respective brands.

Alternate post:

If I had a nickel for every time I've added a strangely licensed motherboard to my Z790 database, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it's happened twice.

I guess it all comes down to which one ships from The Tristate Area.

Absolutely nothing sets the Sonic board apart. It's not particularly premium. It doesn't have features for Overclockers so it's not gonna go particularly fast. It's just blue and ugly.

It is $10 cheaper than the slightly-less-ugly board in the same tier from the same manufacturer, somehow?

The whole thing is confusing.
