I’m an 8-bit Patreon supporter to the Home computer museum in Helmond (the Netherlands). I really enjoy playing around with old PC’s, so yesterday I bought an overstock extremely yellowed (almost browned) Pentium 133 from them as a base for my ultimate MS-DOS 6.2 / Early Win9x PC to play around with.

I kinda went a little overboard already, buying a IDE to SD adapter, Gotek floppy emulator, 128MB of EDO RAM, replaced the optical drive and today I went to a retro fair and bought a Soundblaster Live card.

The case itself is SO yellow, that I think it’s a mix of aging and smoke. I will probably just clean it and then rattle can spray it black, because it’s too brown to retrobright.

I’m not going too vintage though, I’ll use a VGA to HDMI converter instead of a CRT nugget.

@OverSoft the floppy emulators are so great. I am sad enough I bought one with the speaker mod :p
@interpipes Oh no no no, no HDD clicker or floppy speaker for me, hahaha
@OverSoft i drew the line at the hdd clicker, the “floppies” are used rarely enough that it’s just fun
