Today is my eighth anniversary & last day at GitHub. After 30-ish years in IT, I'm taking a very long break to ride bikes, hike, & read books. It's been quite a path: I was roughly the 10th security hire at GitHub, when there were 350-ish employees. Now there are 3000-ish, a lot in security, and we're owned by MSFT. Over 8 years I've done a lot of different things: engineering, tool building, log management, incident response, but for the last 5+, mostly threat intel and investigations. Whew!
