CubbyTustardman at least they were a couple. I have taken the old gray dawg from Portland, OR all the way to Albany NY solo (only 72 hoursish as there was no delay) and the rando seatmates you get are really the worst part. Going with another person would be pretty lush imo.
If you ever have to do this buy yourself lots of benadryl and just sleep as much as possible. Be asleep in the aisle seat when people board and they are less likely to wake you to get the window seat.
Also the seats near the back are tempting but the toilet gets really really gross sometimes don’t risk the back few rows if you can help it.
