With Climate Action Incentive Payments coming out very soon for those of us that live in the relevant provinces it’s a good time to point out that every single cent collected in fuel surcharges is refunded within the province it is collected.

Righties love to pretend that it’s all some tax grab but the government neither keeps nor spends a penny on anything but the refunds, or transfers anything away from its province of collection.
