I'm doing a science, because it feels like all the queer people I know are extremely tired, and I was wondering if it's a queer thing or just something due to the overlap of people I know. So, are you queer and tired? Whether it's chronic illness, neurodivergence, or something else let me know! Boost for greater sample size! #lgbtq #polls #queer

@KestrelSWard in german there is a phrase “minderheitsstress Modell” translated into minority stress model. stress that is a constant experience by minorities and a constant tax on energy. its a systemic look at the cumulative effect of microagressions
@yisha @KestrelSWard I'm German and I'd have thought the minority stress model came from somewhere anglophone?
@yisha @KestrelSWard But good point. (Though... enough queer people are autistic, and there's both the stress that can come with being autistic in a world mismatched to our sensory needs, and in turn autism has high correlation with some chronic things that can make tired too. Like EDS and MCAS for yours truly...)
@chanele @KestrelSWard actually, I would have thought that the numbers of chronic your people among those living under the poverty line is a very important corollary. As for everyone saying that they’re tired. Reminds me of rich people saying they’re poor I’ve even had somebody who owns outright their home. Explain to me how they have no money. So I think you would have to find a way to poll for that. How much I hate it when rich people claim poverty. In my view, there is a huge difference between tired and tired. Farver correctly and Angela Davis wrote some interesting stuff about who gets to rest.
