Steve Leach@eaton @reconbot For better or worse, the micro-blog format encourages that -- I used to think of Twitter as "Quipper" because there was only room to exchange bumper-stickers and short (often snarky) stuff - not full and complete thoughts. The 500 character default for #mastodon is better but I'd prefer 2 - 4k (one to two pages text) as a default limit - we'd get more deeply engaged that way I think.
