I remember a few years ago there was a tongue-in-cheek subreddit about a cult whose prophet spoke to their disciples using CAPTCHAs as its favorite medium. The “disciples” would share and interpret each other findings. It was super funny.

It feels like today’s AI hyper fixation is a super serious version of that.
