@FediFollows No Portuguese suggestions, mate?

@jorgecandeias

It's a bit more difficult for me as I don't speak Portuguese, sorry! 😞

I have listed a few suggestions at https://fedi.directory/tag/portugal/ (the country) and https://fedi.directory/tag/portugues/ (the language)

Portugal | Fedi.Directory

Interesting accounts to follow on Mastodon and the Fediverse

@FediFollows Very Linux-centered, I see.

OK, then. Most Portuguese accounts I know (myself included, oc) post both in Portuguese and in English, which ought to give you the gist of the whole thing, but in case it doesn't (and for those that are Portuguese-only) what kind of vetting would you need to accept suggestions?

@jorgecandeias

I generally list accounts that focus on a particular topic (not necessarily exclusively though).

I usually don't list general personal accounts as there are so many millions of people on here, and there are already directories for general accounts at https://communitywiki.org/trunk and https://fediverse.info/explore/people

Let me know if you have suggestions.

Trunk for the Fediverse

@FediFollows

OK, dug them up.

There's [email protected], the news portal of a left-wing political party, the [email protected]

There's [email protected], a bot posting the stuff published by a tech portal, called, of course, Tuga Tech.

There's [email protected], an association of emergency situations' voluntaries, posting alerts and stuff.

There's [email protected], an association "promoting science, scientific culture and critical thinking".

(one more toot after this)

@FediFollows

And there's [email protected], the account of a satirical news thing a-la The Onion.

Unfortunately other comedy-oriented accounts aren't posting any longer. Like [email protected] (the main competition of Impensa Falsa) and [email protected] (a very well-known comedian and media personality). Then again, that may change some time in the future, so...

There. That'd be a start, I guess.

@jorgecandeias

Thank you so much for the suggestions and explanations, that's great! 🤩

I will have a look at them.

@FediFollows Hey!

Just found a new (to me) Portuguese account I thought you may find interesting: [email protected]

It's an account posting artwork found in Portuguese museums.
