Katalin Karikó + Drew Weissman won the Nobel prize for their work developing Covid vaccines, yet they wore masks to receive their prizes - even after the advent of the vaccine they developed.

We really appreciate that they demonstrated that they understand that layering protections works better against infection than any one measure. Vaccines reduce severity and hospitalizations and deaths but don't entirely stop infections, so masks protect you and others from infection and the risk of Long Covid or other long-term damage. Bravo! And congratulations.

@protect_bc Well deserved! And I can’t help but giggle at the googly-eyed looking trophies.
