Hallo friends. Skye is helping me look at a canned spaghetti sauce recipe as we have a couple of tomatoes (see 2nd pic). ๐Ÿ… The big red ones are not pictured, there are about 30 more. BunMum will sort and organize tomorrow. Had to get them in as itโ€™s a killing frost tonight.

Sewer line update: Project manager said wait on the crack and 2nd sag - save up (ha) and we will do a camera check next year. He felt so sorry for us he gave us $500 off, which was very kind and kept it with tax to $17,000.

@Satori That's decent of him. Tomatoes, go for it!
@Byronrabbit ๐Ÿ˜‚ Theyโ€™ve taken over. Grateful for the crop. Good tomato sauces are ahead. ๐Ÿ…โค๏ธ
@Satori Oh, the purple ones! Nice crop!

@Byronrabbit Thank you! ๐Ÿ˜Š Theyโ€™re so tasty, too! A bit less acidic too, so good for those of us with GERD! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Those heirloom indigo rose tomatoes were the first time Iโ€™ve tried to grow from seed starting in the house.โ˜บ๏ธ

@Satori Impressive! I've only ever grown the cherry and grape tomatoes and get them from greenhouse plants. You're a true gardener!
@Byronrabbit Honestly, I was shocked. I was expecting spindly plants ๐Ÿ˜‚. Thank you, but I suspect tomatoes are just verrrrry hardy. I did put an oscillating fan on them inside to toughen them up a bit in preparation for those Alberta spring winds. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ
@Satori Yeah, wind burn turns leaves yellowish. They look yummy!
@Byronrabbit ๐Ÿ˜ฒ So thatโ€™s what causes those yellow leaves! I always wondered what causes that but never put the two together.
@Satori Greenhouse guy told me that. The plant survives though.
