lingh0eScene is (was) a relatively decent periodical in the Cleveland area. It’s mostly an ad mill, with ~50% of their page space going to advertising, but they’ve also done a decent job of covering local news. And don’t talk shit about Discount Drug Mart. They save you the runaround.
Just not a typical byline. Most small papers are beholden to ads like that
