Hey Mastodon home/self hosters, how much machine do you really need? I spun up my trial mastodon instance just under a year on an old trashcan Mac Pro. It was easy to allow 32GB RAM and 6 cores, so I don't think I've hit any limits, however that machine is old and tired and started crashing last week.

Currently hosting just two active users, both following plenty, but only one (me) posting much.

Might go apple silicon, but ... how big a machine? searchable: Y, elastic search : Y
