This is the exact same garage door opener that I have in my house, which was built in the early 80s. It still mostly works, though the remote doesn't, so I wired a Raspberry Pi to it so I could open and close it from my phone. Gotta love that classic woodgrain look!

If proof were needed, here's our garage door opener with accompanying control panel and remote. Still going strong... well, still going, anyway... forty-odd years later.
@mcchessers Inferior manufacturing that used too much wire casing, excessive plastic protection, and screws instead of cheaper adhesive. Probably even soldered & QA'd by hand. /s
