@cooner The splintering among services is reminding me very much of the 00's, but with a key difference. Back then, I had friends scattered out over AIM/ICQ/MSN messengers primarily. Eventually, in came Trillian as the go-to combo program to streamline talking to all of them in a nice neat package. I feel like the same thing is happening now, only now, there's no "Trillian, but for social media services." to offer a similar level of convenience.
