Grrrr watching #TheExorcists a new #HorrorMovie and they committed one of my cardinal sins, using lifesaving medicine wrong, specifically an #EpiPen the character was a doctor so it was extra annoying that nobody showed her what to do. Plus instructions on how to use it are printed on the thing itself. #horrormovies #HorrorMovieFan

It goes into the thigh and you hold it for up to 10 seconds.

And yes a detail like that will ruin a film for me.

Me too. Some things I can let slide, but some things - like correct epi pen use! - I will hold the director responsible. That may be the only time someone sees an epi pen (or other life-saving maneuver) in action and/or it makes the deepest impression, so it's critical they get it right.

@Her_Doing exactly. A family member was talking about allergies with 10yo and was saying "yeah sure you jab it into the neck" because they'd seen that on TV and 10yos response was "are you TRYING to kill me?" The adult family member then got a lecture from 10yo on correct epi pen usage.
