NeoHaskell wasn't warmly received and was 100% going to peter out on its own. This further dig wasn't necessary and comes off as pretty cruel imo.

@deech it seems to be an easy trigger for quite a few. I wonder why people are so easily triggert by this?
@angerman @deech probably because it reads more like it speaks in the language of boosterist startup culture and some (at least myself) are very tired of such things
@boarders @angerman I didn't think much of neohaskell but my opinion of this response stands.
@deech Agreed. Ignore and move on if it seems so hopeless. I do think the BDFL question is sort of interesting on its own. Are there some BDFLs that were well known before becoming known as the BDFL for a project? Seems like you want someone who *doesn’t* have their fingers in a lot of pies.
@acowley The Jai guy comes to mind?
@deech Oooh, good one I hadn’t thought of. Is it still a going concern? My thinking is that if you install a person already known for a lot of things, they’re less likely to stick around as a BDFL. The whole approach to governance is pretty interesting. It’s kind of tragic how every effort run by a committee ends up with behind-closed-doors politics blowing things up.
