In my own fic, Trans Shen Yuan, who has just as big a clueless streak as the canon one, but aimed a totally different direction, and who took over his own narrative from me so he could turn Qing Jing into The Queer Peak

@biasto_bias I'm 400k words and 6 in-universe years into my AU, and something like 95% of the last few years of Qing Jing disciples are queer. About 75% trans.
See, he let Ming Fan take over picking, and she looked at this and said "I can use this to give trans kids access to medical transition"
Oh yeah, Ming Fan is a trans woman in this. She's much happier, and mostly uses her bullying tendencies for good. And to make sure her Shizun eats occasionally. 😊
