If China won a USA proxy war against Australia, what could the worst outcome?
Advanced fast public transport, a heathy heath system, better education for all, fast internet, better living standards for vulnerable people and an entire renewable energy manufacturing sector. Albo’s just setting us up for better future governance but in a more delayed and expensive way than cooperating with China from the getgo…

Oh perhaps women being told to give birth or not give birth at the whim of the state, being forced to work 72 hours per week, elimination of minorities, inability to criticise the state, censorship.

I’m not arguing that representative democracy is working fabulously well but I don’t want to see freedoms curtailed, black people and muslims eliminated, or people who think differently imprisoned in brainwashing centres.

@FerdiMagellan The Australian government are already prosecuting whistleblowers, locking up peaceful climate protestors and de-funding public education. Foreign interests control Australian media and parliamentary decisions that cause inequality, homelessness and a dying planet. Our freedoms in Australia are already curtailed but the only thing we are being told is that we are still better off than Chinese. I beg to differ. I've been there and seen for myself.

@Herman_Lentil I do not subscribe to the belief that China is our enemy. I’m more wary of the USA. I’ve never been to China but I’ve been to other cultures that I would not like to ever say that one is better than the other.

Persecuting climate protestors is appalling and an action I will actively protest in every way I can.

@FerdiMagellan you really believe this narrative that has been confected by your billionaire corporate media platforms? Oh boy..
@Herman_Lentil which are ‘my’ billionaire corporate media platforms?
