Hey friends and fellow pirates, hackers, punks, and oddballs! This is a call for assistance!

One of the most elusive films I don't have a physical copy of any longer, and have been looking around for for *ages*, is Terminal City Ricochet, a dark, dystopic black comedy from 1990 that was directed by Zale Dalen, and stars Jello Biafra as the villain, Bruce Coddle, who's keeping people hooked to TV to exploit them and sell them useless junk. I had a copy of this movie on a bootleg VHS, but it got destroyed by water damage. Alternative Tentacles used to sell this on DVD combined with its soundtrack, but it's been long sold out on their website, and believed to be long out of print.

I've checked every site I could possibly check for physical copies. On eBay, I only find the soundtrack. Discogs, same thing.

I know that there's a rip on YouTube, but it's 240p only. Yes, I have it, but it's not really preservation quality.

There's just one torrent I found through 1337x.to, but the torrent constantly halts at just under 60% complete, and only 2 seeders have it but drop interest in seeding at that mark.

This is where getting my hands on the DVD comes in. If I can get the DVD, I can make a 480p rip, which is much more watchable and guaranteed to be cleaner quality, and in doing so, I can share it with friends through all the conventional means (file sharing, sneakernet, media servers), as well as upload it to sites like the Internet Archive, where it damn well deserves to be.

This movie is a prime example of why it's so important to #keepcirculatingthetapes, and why piracy is not a bad thing at all in the end. So if anyone has a DVD copy that they're willing to share, or is willing to help buy me a copy of the movie on DVD so I can preserve it, let me know, or send some money to my Ko-Fi to help me save up to get that (knowingly) pricey aftermarket copy!

@LambdaCalculus I have a local video coop that has an extensive B-movie collection. I’ll give them a check
@graveolens Sounds good! Let me know what you find there, and thanks for helping out!
@LambdaCalculus no luck unfortunately. Looks like they downsized a lot of their VHS collection (which is, honestly, where I was expecting to find it more readily available). Back in the 2000s it seemed like they had bootlegs of everything you couldn’t otherwise obtain. Sorry 😞
@graveolens It's all right! I finally got some leads, but thank you for helping out and looking for me! Much appreciated!
@graveolens @LambdaCalculus you had me at “local video co-op”

@LambdaCalculus there is one man I would suggest knows: Kurly.

Be warned: he is an opinionated man. He knows his obscure ass films though.

He ran Burning Paradise video in Albuquerque for years. https://x.com/kurlytlapoyawa

@indrora I'm not on Twitter anymore; I had my account obliterated by insulting the Muskrat.
@LambdaCalculus He's elsewhere, you'll just have to do some digging. The name is accurate though.

@LambdaCalculus I can't check right now but I bet this is available at cinemageddon.

If you don't have an account I can look into this tomorrow evening
