Gettin' My Ghost On
By Michael Mijares Smith
Putting on my spooky sheet at midnight.
Gonna give those kids quite a fright.
Gettin' my ghost on.
While desperately fighting sleep
Gettin' my ghost on
While desperately fighting sleep

Me & my friends haunt houses, parks & mines.
Our alter egos are all frightening signs.
We scare & terrorize come night time
To hide out property related crime
Miner-fourty-niner, Captain Cutler & 40,000 Volt Ghost.
These are the people I adore the most.
Chasing you through the fields during the midnight hour.
This is me at the height of my spectral power.
Then I hear the dreaded zoinks & jinkies
This is when my plan goes hinkey

Chasing you through the fields during the midnight hour.
This is me at the height of my spectral power.
Then I hear the dreaded zoinks & jinkies
This is when my plan goes hinkey
I've falllen into those kids cunning trap.
Things have gone so wrong ASAP.
I don't know what to do
Who the hell names their dog Scooby-Doo?
Foiled, captured & unmasked.
My villainous plot has collapsed
(Continued in next post)
Without my sheet, they see through my spectral con.
I can no longer get my ghost on.
They finally see the evil has a face.
They see I'm just another member of the human race
For a while, I was myth, I was legend
The lure of the sheet it did beckon.
Even though I will soon be gone.
I proudly state, I got my ghost on.
