AndyI didn’t downvote, but for those of us outside this world, we might misunderstand this as:
I want to have regular sex with a pillow made to look like a child, and I want all you internet strangers to:
- imagine me doing this,
- help me do this, and
- don’t act like it’s weird or personal or inappropriate
I know that I don’t know what I’m talking about, and would just ignore a post like this, but since you wonder at any downvotes, my sample misunderstanding may explain some of them.
Some people who like anime are pedophiles. Some people who write children’s books are pedophiles. Some people who go to bars are drunkards. Some furries are zoophiles and sexualize things. Some preachers people molest children. Some norse pagans are nazis. Some college clubs drink and do drugs. Some gun owners commit murder. Some politicians take bribes.
A few sick, twisted members of a group, when they’re a minority by far, can never define the entire group. Literally anything cute and innocent can be perverted and sexualized by a few evil individuals.
We need to get rid of the zoophiles, not the puppies…
I’m not claiming all anime fans are anything in particular. I’m saying I don’t know what all the things mean, and thought that “waifu” might mean sex-with-pillow-child stuff. It probably doesn’t mean that, but people like me who know nothing about it might make that same mistake, which could explain some downvotes, which was my aim.

Someone asked why anyone would downvote this. Many of us don’t know what waifu wallpaper stuff is about, but if I do an image search for waifu I see lots of young girl cartoon porn stuff, and I have heard of some folks calling their child-like sex pillow by that word.
So my answer is that those of us who don’t know what you’re talking about may have ideas from sources like that, and nothing in the post added explanation for this crowd. That may explain some downvotes.
FYI when I type “waifu” into Bing one of the suggestions is “waifu body pillow with hole.” And for “waifu is” the first suggestion is “waifu is for low lives.”
My point is you shouldn’t expect people who don’t know about it to understand it properly, when only casual familiarity content is full of stuff like that.
Guessing because the one’s who downvoted saw this as “low effort” that doesn’t tell them anything, really. (There’s no mention of any DE, or what they did to customize it…it’s just the terminal and a request for a wallpaper, really). FWIW, I can see it’s Uwuntu (i think…) would be nice to see the whole desktop tho
