@Vivaldi I just downloaded it and it looks great. My immediate gripe is that it pauses my Audible book as I open the app. Is that something that can be looked at? None of my other browser apps do it.

Does it happen every time or just the first time you opened Vivaldi after installing the app?
On first run, it's expected as there's a video in the onboarding flow.

@Vivaldi That may have been it.

I did exit the app, restarted Audible and when I ran it again it stopped again. It may have still be in the onboarding part.

I have now force closed Vivaldi and repeated the test and it seems to leave the audio playing so I think you can mark this one as a "user error" 👍

@Vivaldi I have the need to be logged in to multiple accounts at the same services. Arc and Firefox support that with features for virtual containers.

Is something similar under development for Vivaldi? Or perhaps already available as a plugin, which would mean that I could switch already today. :)

@anders We'd like to support containers, but due to peculiarities in the Chromium code it's extremely difficult to do it.

@Vivaldi I guessed that it was something along those lines, given that Chrome doesn’t have it either. But Arc has solved it, so I keep my fingers crossed for Vivaldi as well. :)

@Vivaldi Thank you for supporting system text size. Too many iOS apps use their own bespoke way of adjusting text size instead and that often makes me not want to use them at all out of annoyance!

@Vivaldi nope. I don’t use Vivaldi on the desktop and had no plans to do so unless I liked the mobile app enough to switch.

@Vivaldi @matt However, it still utilizes WebKit, just like Safari does, right? Or not this time? That has been the issue with all browser alternatives. In the end, they are all essentially Safari with a different appearance.

@Albertkinng @Vivaldi @matt Yes, all browsers on iOS are very inferior to Safari because of this very reason and sadly their hands are very tied. There's a hashtag for this: #AppleBrowserBan

The only hope is that the EU's DMA and DSA can allow third-party browsing engines on iOS eventually.

@Vivaldi Got it! Using it now! How about the private browsing? I don’t see a way to have a private browsing experience. Maybe is hidden somewhere. Anyways if you have it, how private is? Encrypted?

@Vivaldi I switched my default browser from the #DuckDuckGo iOS browser to try it out. So far it’s been just OK. I’ve found it is definitely not lightweight and not as snappy. Will keep trying. I want to like it. 🤞
