Looking for new notification sounds for linux - Lemmy.world

My work laptop was forced to Winows 11 today, and as much as I dislike using windows, I do like the relaxing notification sounds. Much more than the default sound alerts I have with Linux Mint on my desktop. Does anyone have any recommendations for similar alerts and where I can download them. I’ve done a basic search and found some passable options, but ideally I’d like an entire set of sounds that go well together.

The Windows sounds actually stress me out more than the default GNOME sounds (which there aren’t many of anyway), especially the error sound.

A bit unrelated, but you could go for (gentle) water splash sounds or rain.

KDE is working on a new sound theme for Plasma 6 and you can grab the files right now:
invent.kde.org/plasma/ocean-sound-theme/…/stereo?…

You also could just rip the Windows sound effects from whatever install you have access to.

I like the Zorin sound theme from Zorin OS. Not every sound, but most of them.
