Lots of buzz for new Raspberry Pi 5 - https://www.raspberrypi.com/news/introducing-raspberry-pi-5/

Some nice perf updates & interesting, it also uses disaggregated chiplet architecture like upcoming Intel Meteor Lake

4/8GB is great but where's 16GB+ models ... need moar memory for #ESXionARM 😁

@lamw According to Jeff Gering. 16GB is possible in the future.

I assume this should "just work" for ESXI on ARM out of the box?

@anclement be nice to have that now than just a tease ... while I'm sure 4/8 is plenty for hobbyist, its no longer sufficient for all the things folks would want #ESXionARM or not

Don't assume it'll work. The team is acquiring some, so we'll share update if/when we have something to share :)

@lamw Right. I wouldn't be surprised to see 16GB come sometime next year :)
And sounds good. If nothing else good to know the team will be looking at it for the future
