I think that there's a lot of strange things in the study (like numbers in the text that are the opposite of what's shown in the plots) but here's a table from the supplemental material which actually shows that perceived disparities and knowledge of racial disparities are *positively* (albeit weakly) correlated with fear, support for safety measures and empathy.
