So I read #Flamer last week, one of the books recently banned in Cobb, and read it in one sitting. It's sweet and funny and carries a powerful message for #GayTeens trying to find themselves and their way in the world. And it's beautifully illustrated.

It's #AntiBullying and active #SuicidePrevention.

I'm not really buying why they claim they wanted it removed from the shelves: my conclusion was that they were motivated by #homophobia.

Because it is written by a children's books author and was based on his own experiences at that same age, there's no question that it is developmentally appropriate.

(The banners claim it isn't.)
