So I read #Flamer last week, one of the books recently banned in Cobb, and read it in one sitting. It's sweet and funny and carries a powerful message for #GayTeens trying to find themselves and their way in the world. And it's beautifully illustrated.

It's #AntiBullying and active #SuicidePrevention.

I'm not really buying why they claim they wanted it removed from the shelves: my conclusion was that they were motivated by #homophobia.

#BannedBooks
#BookBans

It's aimed at kids who might not know or accept yet that they are gay, and who have zero social support. To deprive that audience of this warm, witty affirmation is to me just plain wrong.
