Basically the title. I don’t have the DLC currently and started a new character with the 2.0 update. Just wondering if I would have to start another character to do the DLC if I do end up liking the base game.

Yes you can. We are able to use characters we created before phantom Liberty released.

I just wanted to chime in you can’t load an endgame save and get the dlc to trip. My gf refunded because she didn’t have a save between the two quests that will trigger it and didn’t want to start over.
Good to know! Did you know the name of the mission that triggers it? Is it a story mission in the base game?
The first part is called terminus I think and the second I’m not sure, sorry, it is listed on their site I think but it was poorly relayed prior to launch so might have to dig a bit to find.

That sounds like a bug honestly, I think you're supposed to be able to do the PL story at any point between completing that pacifica quest with the VDBs, and the hanako quest that starts the final chapter.
