Last full day of a vacation to Lake Rosevelt. Found some wild apples that were surprisingly palatable, even sweet to my taste. I think these apples are roma or very similar apples based on shape, color, smell, and flavor. (My family had a tree of roma apples when I was a kid). Picked a few, cut them up, and tried to make a cobbler using very limited supply (topping was just butter, flour, salt, baking powder). It came out OK but not great. I should have sauced them instead, as I remembered I forgot to bring syrup for pancakes tomorrow.
