Hmm. So I'm faced with a travel decision where ANE is concerned. Apparently the Amtrak Northeast Regional now has TWO daily trains out of Roanoke.

Do I get on the Thursday early-morning train and not arrive in Boston until late Thursday evening? Or do I get on the Wednesday afternoon/overnight train and arrive in Boston on Thursday morning (probably before anyone else gets there)?

Genuinely tough decision. But given that a coach ticket on either train costs only $36 (as opposed to over $300 for the cheapest flight), it's not even a contest in terms of actual method of travel.
