@Seomac hey just in case you were wondering yes I still have this 🀣🎢🎀
@DickieboyBradders sorry for late reply,I'm not on here often Ruchard
@Seomac id forgot I had this πŸ˜‚ hope you are keeping well πŸ™
@DickieboyBradders I'm good Richard, had a 3 week off X, traded my squier strat to gear4music, cos I never played it, then it went walkabout, finally got paid then they invoiced me 5 times for guitar i sold to them & added€381 customer goodwill to my account, notthat I'll see any of it,I'm getting another guitarflipping between Epi les Paul versions or that Shergold that I posted on X shop over her has them for€339, they sell in UK Β£379,good price but I'll likely go toward epiphone, Any Gigs?
@Seomac this is now at the top of my list although I've been enjoying playing the Lava Me recently and can afford this Β£250 says used but basically unpacked and tested πŸ₯³πŸ€©πŸ˜
@DickieboyBradders cool guitar, it doesn't look too used tbh,Fender, lessons sticker still on it,only 1 version of Epi worn series , that I wanted, available &tbh it looks like an old Trebor fruit salad chew rather than cherry sunburst, the Epi muse range have all the hardware & electronics of the dearer models but lighter & cheaper, thickly varnished necks put me off & I'd never sand one, so it's a green muse, gold shergold or black epi classic LP , pretty sure it'll be Muse
@Seomac I'd go Shergold just to be different πŸ€”πŸ˜‚πŸŽΈ
@DickieboyBradders I was going that way,but listening to demos it sounded like a watered down version of my Gretsch jet,same style P/ups& not keen on the raised ridge on front,I like LP shape,but guitar is too heavy,thick body,glossy neck,the muse same shape thin body lighter,decent P/ups,neck similar to jet,just hanging on to see if black one becomes available, either way Wednesday next I'll buy,I was toying with an Epi Sg modern,tons of bad reviews,but sounded fine played clean
@Seomac well I wait in anticipation πŸ˜…πŸŽΈ
@DickieboyBradders The trade in for Squier Strat paying for almost half cost so getting one I'll use rather than live in it's box,still have same amount of guitars as before,just now there's 4 that will be constantly usedπŸ˜†πŸŽΈ
@Seomac that is the point being used πŸŽΈπŸŽΈπŸŽΈπŸŽΆπŸ™
@DickieboyBradders final decision ,going for Epi Les Paul Studio, I'm tied to gear4, cos trade in credit is there, 2 available colours White & Smokehouse burst, going for latter as black poly finish on neck, P/ups are harsher than others,weight wise it's 8 pounds,& been using my jet a bit today at 13.1 pounds so bit of a difference, gotta wait til tuesday morning when bank opens before buying,sounds different than any of H/B p/ups I already have on other guitars, only took me 2 month to decide
@Seomac oh great choice I like both colours but it's the playability that counts and if it's lighter too bonus πŸ₯³πŸŽΈπŸŽΆ
@DickieboyBradders I just got on Bluesky &it looks good, soon as I get an invite, if you want it , it's yours RichardπŸ‘
@Seomac oh thank you πŸ˜πŸ™
@DickieboyBradders welcome, soon as they award one I'll dm it to you, quite like older twitter & good few familiar faces there too, I got myinvite from an old schoolfriend today 56 years on still matesπŸ‘
@Seomac can't wait πŸ˜„
@DickieboyBradders huge row with place I was buying guitar off, still don't acknowledge 5 mis invoices, so used up credit due on a Mooer efx unit & guitar will now be Michael Kelly Patriot, from another supplier I know & like the brand, it's better spec than the Epi & same weight,also considerably cheaper, so that's now the choice, looks good too
@Seomac very slim at top of body that could be interesting πŸ€”
@DickieboyBradders it's 8pounds in weight,it has same features as my MK Tele,P/ups are overwound ,bit grittier with gain/OD,great price,I was going again myself buying guitar off g4m,so used the credit on mooer fx unit & some strings,saving lots on price of guitar with a better spec too ,never use g4m again 🎸 πŸ‘
@Seomac I've never used them I'll stick to Thomans and definitely not Reidys after getting 2 dodgy guitars in a row ... exciting times George 🎸🎸🎸πŸ₯³
@DickieboyBradders I normally use Thomann Richard but they had little or no stock of what I was looking for, I had issue last yr with gear & gave them another go, but twice bitten, Thomann are doing another HB offer free guitar virtual studio stuff with some models, Native instruments Guitar rig 7, & 25%off sale price of a range of 25 guitars also, Pro Musica based here in Cork very good to deal with too
@Seomac I'm waiting on this now forget the Jaguar it's out January next year St-182 plus Harley Benton this would suit me down to the ground 🎸🀀
@DickieboyBradders yeah,I've seen a few of these about, relatively newin Strat shape,but lots of Tele(esquire) or Les Paul style juniors,looks good too,funny thing is I Mostly use bridge pickup, but I always want a neck one on guitar which doesn't make sense when I think of it,, what's the pickup,is it one of the 'sonic' type p/ups ? looks like a roller bridge,is there a trem involved?🎸 πŸ‘
@Seomac the pick up is a bit different humbucking pickup by Tesla I thought he said in the video πŸ˜‚ but I'll find out eventually...a simple guitar I never use tone so less knobs the better 🎸
@DickieboyBradders they look like Gretsch style filtertronics or Page branded filtersonics, I saw some specs for it,roasted maple neck, with a compound fretboard radius, 12/16 , a high end feature there, locking tuners, those necks are very comfortable & smooth to use
@Seomac I'll be sure to let you know next year πŸ˜«πŸŽΈπŸ˜‚ and something to look forward to in the new year I'll just have to put up with the Mustang πŸŽΈπŸ™„πŸ€
@DickieboyBradders I'm sure the Mustang is very easy to get on with,but for me already having my SG with P-90s I would have got one, great sounding, great shape too
@Seomac and I'd throw the trem away πŸ˜… but I don't think it has one 🎸
