Contacted Oralux.Org to enquire about non-home/commercial licenses for Vocalizer Embedded. They wrote back indicating that it is now known as "Cerence #TTS Embedded", and suggested contacting Code Factory. Which is sufficiently bad news in itself, but when I Google "Cerence TTS Embedded", the first result from #CodeFactory is a PDF without proper #accessibility tagging. Superb.
@jscholes good luck with that. When I did the first NVDA driver for vocalizer only the sdk costed a couple Ks.
@ragb Well that's unfortunate, but good to know!
@jscholes those guys are messy and don’t care about us. Code Factory.. I don’t like them either.
@ragb Luckily, they don't seem to be the only distributor.
