That’s why it annoys me any time someone suggests friendship and/or centrism with conservatives. They literally don’t care about the truth, even what words mean. There is no “reasonable” discussion to be had; half of their opinions are literally because of belief in the supernatural, and the other half is Dunning-Kruger economics.

Because if they don’t care what words mean, then I think the better approach is to attack their social status as a group. Shine a light on what they are, make them embarrassed. Let them lose friends. “You can’t reason someone out of a belief they weren’t reasoned into.”

Exact same thing this time around. Covid happened, Trump bumbled it and also Congress gave away 950 billion mainly to people who didn't need it, Fed lowered interest rates to zero... so Biden inherited rampant inflation and massive home price increases, and according to Conservatives, it's the 'Biden economy'. Of course they can never name anything they think Biden did to cause it.

Is there a better place, you’d recommend, to direct people to for gif uploads?

That’s a difficult question honestly, as you’d want the host to be able to fund itself in a way that’s tax efficient or otherwise incentivized (like not showing ads or using trackers in exchange for donations).
A solution popular in recent times on Lemmy is catbox.moe and I have probably been using it before Lemmy was even created, as it is referenced by the Pomf Clones and File Hosting Comparisons document which was created in 2018.
At the very least, imgur.com has a less crowded interface and surely makes enough money from ads and trackers to be sustainable in the medium term.

Obama’s presidency is responsible for starting the largest/longest bull run in the history of the stock market, which 45 ended due to utterly fumbling the pandemic, but can now blame Biden for since he has to deal with all the economic fallout from 45’s term in office. While all 45 had to deal with was a humming economy he still ran into the ground. Not saying what Obama did for the economy was good for the country, just that it was good for what is considered ‘economic health’ by the majority of the US population.
