Then I looked at it after baking and was like "hm, I wonder if I could smooth it out some?"
So, being me, I taped some sandpaper to my electric toothbrush and gave it a go

And it didn't work that bad, except … I didn't realize the flower hadn't fully cured. Which I found out when the top center back petal just … dissolved on me. I poked at the remaining pieces and they came apart like baked cookie dough, which is when I concluded I'd baked it wrong

So, now I've made it a new central petal and we're gonna see if that works or if I need to start over from step 1
