KayinSeeing peoples whack ass opinions on unity, twitter, and now valve and their competitors really makes it clear that a chunk of people don't care about *good* choices or competition. They yearn for a Wise King.
They'll SAY they want competition, but *realities* of competition are too much, especially since what a lot of people want is stability. They want a competitor with no hope of winning, who merely exists to put pressure on their chosen platform. They want the benefits, without the reality.
This is the kinda the same energy you'd get from like.... *weird* Apple fans. Like some people just have a preference, but some people are fucking *King Lovers* and it's always been super weird. Now that the internet is beginning to crumble, they seem to be popping up again, yearning for new Kings.
