These two cuties sprouted after 'shattering' last year (seeds over wintered in the soil). Guessing it is a cross of #therealseedcompany's / #kwikseeds turkish and friesland, at least according to my pictures from last year.

Here after just over two weeks of growing, they seem very happy.
06/29
still growing... waiting to sex them.

what a difference a month makes. some lower branches have snapped but are still growing. One of the plants split pretty badly but is still viable.
and both are female.
08/26
a few weeks later, and a different perspective, showing how the two plants have grown. The plant on the right is over 2 metres tall (7 ft).
The second image shows a close up of how the shorter plant split at the base.
09/23
Some more damage, as the lower branches succumb to weight, wind and possibly some ungulate intrusion (they eat things in the garden and show no respect for what they bash into!).
Also a close up of one of the colas, with colouration from some cold nights and light frost. Expecting to harvest in another few weeks.
