@stevecrozz You*could*, but I'd prefer a positive ID. The possible lookalikes I'm aware of are all edible (Berkeley's polypore & black staining polypore). Look at the spore-producing surface, see if the top stains black with pressure or a cut... moar pictures from many angles.
