PSA: #Patreon just announced they're changing their privacy policy to default all of your account info, who you support, etc. to public. You need to go into the settings and disable that. (Check the two toggles at the bottom of the Settings page to off.)

And then send Patreon a nasty letter, because default-open is just a stupid model to begin with, period.

@Crell Huh, I don't see this... What's your source? I just see one toggle on the settings page. It says "Private Profile" and it's set to on for both my patron and creator profiles. Which means my pledges will be hidden from the public — how it's always been. The only other thing on that page is my email, which I cropped out. Maybe it's different on desktop?

@Crell OK. I found one post that lays a lot of this out. I'm still sorting it. I *think* the newly added public profiles — which seem to be what we would traditionally call a social media profile — are a good option. Are they trying to be discord? IDK. But I agree that if your member profile is currently set to private, it should remain as such until you decide otherwise.
