Streaming companies are truly sparing no expense to make sure people just go back to pirating shows again.

An update on Prime Video

When we launched Prime in 2005, the first benefit we announced to members was free Two-Day Shipping on 1 million items, a revolutionary innovation at the time that transformed the way people shop.

US About Amazon
@elisse streaming is an absolute mess. And I quit Prime long before this due to the greedy increase of the subscription cost. It used to be convenient for getting household items quickly but now it’s a joke
@aceattveg @elisse I’m still addicted to prime two day shipping but maybe it’s time I try quitting again. It’s becoming ridiculous.

@aceattveg @elisse i guess I also have amazons credit card which is a decent deal, so I’d need to figure that out. 🫤

I’m sure there’s a card just as good or better out there, but it’s a pain doing the research and changing over.

@bearmine @elisse one thing is that they still ship free for 35.00 and up and it’s not much slower even if they say it will be. For credit cards I use Amex Blue Cash as you get a ton back for groceries and gas. Not so much for purchases at Amazon but I’m tired of juggling multiple cards these day.

@aceattveg @elisse I don’t juggle multiple cards either. I just have the Amazon prime card as my everyday primary and a backup credit card from my bank that I have one subscription on to keep active.

And a Target card because 5% off is a great deal.

@bearmine @aceattveg In my region we get free next day shipping and it rarely fails, so it's still quite a good deal to have Prime itself. But we don't get credit cards or anything of the sort.
