One thing I do wish for in 4.3 is if someone post link to a post it was smart enough to rewrite the link to not take me to to a different server.

@grumpygamer Hard to discover Mastodon pro-tip: copy the link and paste into your server’s search box to see the local copy. (It’s still useful to go to the other server sometimes, for instance to check for other replies your server didn’t catch.)

Works with usernames and profile links too.

@max Yeah, and the process you just described is what keeps a lot of people off Mastodon. I know how to do it, been doing it for years... it's annoying and a simple problem to fix with rewriting the URL.

@grumpygamer Yeah, it’s a goofy process. It’s among the reasons I tend to use an iOS app (Toot!) more than the main web interface.

@grumpygamer using a native client was probably one of the biggest quality of like improvements for me, because of stuff like this.
