@danofthewibble Used to get two songs simultaneously on Absolute a lot of the time. Oh yeah, and news/travel segments that didn't play at all. Running a radio station by running 15 stations simultaneously is hard.
@LeftbackICR aye, given Absolute often has shows with five or six different playlists at the same time, plus ad breaks replaced by bonus songs, it’s an astonishing feat of production and engineering that this stuff doesn’t happen more often.
Their streams really need fixing though - frequently buffering in the apps, no matter the device or network.

@danofthewibble @LeftbackICR They were doing things like patching stuff through the old UKRD setup to feed some of the TX's. Priority was 'sack everyone, get on air' and not to get setup properly first.

Wallace@ChinnyVision @danofthewibble @LeftbackICR I'm pretty sure the South Yorkshire version is being sent as an outside source to what was the old Magic AM setup, and it has been known to just disappear. An old friend basically has a loop tape of GHR appropriate tracks to fade up when it does and crash out of when it returns. So far, no complaints.
