Hilariously today FT Alphaville has had a look at #DominicRaab's CV...

You'll recall Raab was a stickler for documents' presentation, grammar etc.. And, more than 2 typos in a CV leads almost all employers to reject a candidate.

Raab's CV is full of typos, grammatical & punctuation errors!

Once again, a case of a bully demanding behavioural standards from his subordinates & staff that he is either unable to unwilling to follow himself.

Hope he finds himself a toxic manager to work for!

@ChrisMayLA6 It just takes one spelling or grammatical error for me to reject a CV. And I can spot them in a second or two without actually reading any of the text.

What's sad is when it wasn't the punter's error - their CV has been mangled by a job agency to fit the agency house style, thereby introducing errors that weren't in the original. But I take the view that if the punter is capable of choosing such a ****ing useless agent, what wrong choices might they make if I hired them?

@ChrisMayLA6 in my experience of similar managers, whilst that’s a sign of micromanagement and a show of authority, it’s also a strategy for work avoidance: rejecting staffwork for minor errors means you don’t actually have to read or understand it!
