@esm just out of interest, will anything change to my access (as well as other people's access) to LLL and WDW with the passing of the Online Safety Bill?

Apparently social media sites have to use age assurance technologies to make sure someone isn't under 13
A guide to the Online Safety Bill

The Online Safety Bill is a new set of laws to protect children and adults online. It will make social media companies more responsible for their users’ safety on their platforms.

@experiencer That's for the Firefish project to decide, neither FF nor lethallava.land operates under UK jurisdiction so it's hard to say for sure what will happen

I do run a Tor service for wetdry.world so that should stay accessible at least
@esm @experiencer we will NOT be supporting that shit! gross! (i hate british people)
@esm @experiencer it's up to admins to ban someone for being underage, and they can mod in their own tools if they absolutely need to (but that's highly discouraged)
@esm @experiencer For reference, on firefish.social, if we find you're under 13, we'll suspend your account until you're 13. However, we will never ask you for your ID to be scanned by a human or machine to verify your age.
