@georgetakei The fact is, under other leadership, possibly advertising COULD sustain Twitter financially... but with current incompetent leadership, advertisers don't want to be seen in the place.
That's 100% on Elon Musk: he made Twitter's business model (ad revenue, and pay for elite status) unsustainable.

I think it depends on how much he charges. If it's just to get rid of bots, then maybe a charge of 50c will be enough (since the amounts will need to be tied to a credit or debit card).
But if he wants to charge $9.99 ... "X" is a perfect name.
