The Pennie Smith photo that formed (in conjunction with some rad Elvis inspired type) the cover of London calling is being boosted to my timeline a lot today - its 44th birthday.
It's strange how things - an album, a photo - seem to have existed forever but in fact are barely older than you. London Calling was only 4* years old when I was born!? I guess it was nearer 20 y.o. when I got it but still.
