"If I’m working on something late at night, [Internet Archive] is convenient." - UCLA senior Rachel Simmons, who has used @internetarchive since high school.

For students like Rachel, having 24/7 online access to a research library makes a difference: https://blog.archive.org/2023/09/18/students-use-of-internet-archive-expands-from-high-school-to-college/

@internetarchive

I find IA convenient also since I am retired and not affiliated with a university.
However, students at UCLA have off-campus access to digital resources through their university library, as do students at most universities*. If students don't log on to their university library's collections then usage statistics decline and funding might get cut. It may be the case that IA offers some digital resources that UCLA does not provide, but students and faculty should try to check their university's collections 1st.
