Kantō-resident succulent fans will recognize this as the home of Shimamura Engei, a large garden center with a great inventory of succulents.
This area must be big on succulents because one foot out of the station and I was face-to-face with Saboten 🤪
I love walking around neighborhoods and peeping the gardens. This house has two large containers of graptopetalum, maybe Purple Delight or G. paraguayense (朧月)
Big fans of Tradescantia pallida (紫御殿) here
OK so maybe I went a little overboard 🤔
They gave me the tray for free, probably expecting that I came by car and could just chuck it in the trunk.
But no, I came by train. Luckily just one transfer, but ~2 hours each way. So now I’m the weirdo with a tray full of succulents on the train.
