Please remember to boost Mastodon Polls after voting - reach is often limited without you
Thanks for the reminder

Something is wrong with the percentages...
@nosmaharba lol thank you for the reminder
@nosmaharba Boosted and followed for "You're not my real Dad".
@nosmaharba
So. Did you really think the nation of Boaty McBoaty face wouldn’t choose ‘You’re not my real dad’? (And I haven’t voted, so don’t know the %s)
@nosmaharba Nice. đŸ€Ș😅 I followed you for your background banner alone. 😆
@nosmaharba Also remember that likes don't trigger an algorithm like on other social media. Likes are just a thank you to the author. If you like something and think others should see it, too, give it a boost.

@nosmaharba Thank you for the wonderful reminder, not-Dad â€‹ â€‹

D: “I only have 38 followers so this advice doesn’t apply to me”
@nosmaharba
There's also the #poll tag. Seems like enough people are posting to it regularly that there must be some people following it.

@nosmaharba
I wonder if this still works

I feel like, almost anyone i know has muted boosts, because also almost everyone boosted any minor thing and totally spammed timelines

@nosmaharba but if I vote and *don't* boost, my vote counts for more. It's like Mastodon gerrymandering.
@joat @nosmaharba Pro-tip: Post your poll with the visibility set to “Mentioned People Only” to maximize your vote weight
@nosmaharba it would be better if poll authors thought about what they were asking if they had missed any obvious questions and didn't try to sway the result.
@JohnLoader6 @nosmaharba you're right. this poll needs the option ‘spiderman’
@nosmaharba this is my favourite poll. You're still not my dad tho.
