so first off, ignore most of them

start with the simplest bare-bones init preset

hit a key!

there should be a waveform display, probably a saw wave or something.

That's literally the wave coming out of your speakers. If you measured how the speaker coil moved, it would match!

@mynameistillian Try different shapes of waveforms, see how the sound changes, how the display changes. When the wave is spiky, the sound is spiky. Bouba and Kiki: Audio Edition. :3

Cutoff is a frequency cutoff; it chops out high pitches, leaving you with low ones (low pass). Technically, it might be hooked up to a filter you could change, high pass, band pass (leaves only a narrow band), etc.!
